OOC: Carousel in Vonderland ( Q&A, Comments, etc )
Please use this forum to ask questions or to offer comments about Carousel in Vonderland, Carousel's private writers RPG. All are welcome to comment, positive or negative. Please offer critique on my writing skills as shown by my descriptions of Vonderland and the characters and stories that occur there. Additional information, supplementary explainations, and historical background perspectives will be posted here, too. Carousel the adult will offer narration and explanations for any comments offered, and to fill out some of the more mundane things and events happening in and about Carousel in Vonderland. Also be sure and check Carousel's blog, " Carousel's Meditations and Melancholy " on another forum of WTB. Carousel's blog will offer insight into what Carousel the teen is thinking and how she feels about her life's situation in Vonderland.
>>>>> The reason that I chose to do a private RPG is that I am trying to duplicate an RPG that I started on another website. I thought I was doing fine, for a noob and newbie, but one morning I found out that I was swept out of the website without my knowledge or permission. I was told to---
" take your RPG, stories, and characters and go play on a real RPG website, not here ! Since you are a noob, you are annoying the veteran ' age-players' , and as a admin, I just don't have time to teach noobs about " age-play ! "
I can be shoved out, but that admin can't take my memories away from me. So I come to TWB to try and recreate my RPG, but I must do this alone so that the comments and storyline will be the same or similar to what it was in the other website. Later, when I come to the point where the RPG was stopped, I can open up Carousel in Vonderland to other RPGers to continue the storyline to wherever it will go.
BTW----If one goes to Wikipedia and searches for and reads the article titled " Age Play " or " Ageplay ", one can see what a negative connotation that sexual " age-play " has. WoW ! To think I did not know what I was getting into on the other website !
>>>>> Carousel in Vonderland is written in the " shoujo manga " style of writing. It is also called " Slice of Life " style of writing. If I understand this style of writing correctly, it means that there are no action sequences, no epic gun battles, no daring conquests, no fights to the finish, no heroic quests, no car chases, and no grand climax buildups and endings. The storyline and RPG is simply a chronicle of the day-to-day events in the main character's life, written in a way so as to evoke an emotional response from the reader. The reader is hopefully made to really feel and care about the main character's ups and downs of their life, and to identify with what is happening to the main character. This feeling of wanting to know about and be there for whatever happens to the main character is the attraction of this style of writing. When done in comic book form, this is known as shoujo manga. When done with animation, this is known as shoujo anime. Although there are exceptions, most shoujo manga and anime are created by females, and most of the reading and watching audience for this style is female.
