And a very good thought; although about 50% of all forum sites have lurking bots, there are quite a few from actual honest to goodness real sites and real IPs.
Also, if you ever see a new member join then disappear from the New Members list, that's usually because I've deleted them after determining they were spammers. We have had to block almost all of China, Pakistan, and India because of all of the spambots they produce.
